    Middle Eastern sovereign seen selling cable in recent trade. We're at 1.6270, just off 1.6277 session high. Going against the flow, but hey. They have a tendency of doing that.

    Cable has tacked on a quick half a cent or so, presently at 1.6230 having been as high as 1.6245. There is some talk that the services PMI data for January, out later this morning (09:30 GMT), could come in a fair bit stronger than expected with 54.0 a number being bandied ...
